Donating to the EESF - Tax Free

EES Foundation Logo

Are you aware that if you are an individual facing the need to make 'required minimum distributions' from an IRA or 401(k) program, you can turn the distribution into a zero tax gift opportunity for qualified charitable organizations? All you need to do is provide instructions to the financial institution holding your IRA to make a payment directly to the intended charity.

It may sound a bit complicated, but it's really quite simple. We would be happy to work with you to accept your gift in a way that is tax-free to you and a very efficient method of supporting the mission and activities of the Environmental Engineering and Science Foundation. Feel free to call the Academy to get the process started. Or send a note to Burk Kalweit at the Academy - BKalweit@aaees.org. He will be delighted to walk you through the required steps. It is something that is a win-win for the Foundation and those wanting to maximize the value of their gift. We look forward to hearing from you.
